Future and Funding

The future of C O R E and of orgonomy in this country is extremely precarious. There is nothing physical established on the ground and, as things stand, no stable future for C O RE. We have investigated the possibility of applying for charitable status. Charitable status puts an organisation in very favourable circumstances financially. It becomes exempt from VAT and receives back income tax on regular donations. This means that in effect £100 donated is worth £150. (Not that we receive any substantial donations from anyone at the moment.) Unfortunately British charity law demands expert confirmation that orgonomy is scientifically valid. Needless to say, such validation is not forthcoming at present and C O R E will have to soldier on without the benefits of charitable status.  The tiny income generated by our activities is re-invested in our work and helps to pay printing and research expenses. Scientific equipment is purchased out of personal incomes. The benefits of our activities are available to all without restriction. In particular, our workshops for babies, children, and expectant parents are offered at very low fees or are free in cases of financial need. All information gleaned from our research will be freely available. Those who feel that they or their children have benefited from these activities can, if they wish, make donations to support our work.

C O R E has several important research projects planned that we cannot pursue without more space and better facilities. We urgently need accommodation of our own that we can adapt properly for the various activities we have in mind - scientific experiments, birth preparation groups, baby-therapy groups, orgone-energy field scanning, atmospheric observations, and our long-planned course, to name only a few of them. Another project we have planned is a standing exhibition of orgonomic devices and experiments that the public can come in to, look at, and work with, as they can with many other exhibitions of scientific material. (This exhibition will be set up temporarily during our 2007 conference.) It is vital, if orgonomy is to take root in this country, that we draw in new students willing to commit themselves to serious orgonomic study and research.

If you can help C O R E with a donation of either time, money, a building, or building space we would be very pleased to hear from you. All donations will be publicly acknowledged unless you wish to remain anonymous, a wish which C O R E would, of course, respect unreservedly.
